POLICIES:
I provide non-sexual professional massage therapy and bodywork services and reserve the right to deny or end treatment at my discretion.
As a massage therapist, please understand that I do not diagnose disease, prescribe medication or manipulate bones; and while massage is tremendously therapeutic in nature it is not a substitute for medical attention or examination. To provide you with the best and most beneficial massage for you, I ask that you alert me to any changes that occur with your health at each visit.
Minors are welcome. However, when I am working with someone under 16 I welcome an parent to join us. I also require an adult signature authorizing massage therapy services on behalf of anyone under 18.
Under certain medical conditions, massage may not be advisable, for example when a fever is present, indicating an infection. If I feel a massage or specific techniques are contraindicated, I will discuss this with you. Generally modifications to the massage treatment can be made however, I may on very rare occasions decline to provide a massage if I feel it is in your best interest to do so.
Cancellation Policy: I understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. Please help me be effective and fair to all clients, by honoring the following policies: Please understand also that while I love what do and care very much for each and every client, this is also what I do for a living and how I support my family. Appointments times are reserved exclusively for you.
48 hours advance notice is required when canceling an appointment. This includes therapeutic massage appointments, hypnosis appointments and classes unless otherwise stated in announcement for specific events. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give 48 hours advance notice you will be charged 50% of the amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.
No-shows: Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be charged the full amount for the “missed” appointment. This amount must be paid prior to scheduling your next appointment. This policy applies for both in person and virtual appointments.
Late Arrivals: If you arrive late, I will make every effort to accommodate you, however your session may need to be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. This policy applies for in person and virtual session appointments.
Receipts: Receipts are available at the time of service. When paying by credit card a receipt will be emailed to you automatically. When paying by check, the cashed check itself is your receipt. When paying by cash a paper receipt is available upon request. If you would like or need a paper receipt for any reason (insurance reimbursement, etc.) one can be prepared for you at the time of service only. Please ask and I am happy to provide you with one.
